The eLearning platform from Biermann Services has been online for three months now. This is reason enough to thank all the trainees, who have further educated themselves with the contents, for their trust. It is incredible how much good and interesting feedback we got. A bouquet of ideas for further training contents, but also suggestions and improvements.

Some of them are available for everybody as of today.

When a term becomes a puzzle piece of understanding

The online training now has a glossary. The practical reference book explains specific technical terms briefly and precisely where they are needed. They help to better understand the training content quickly and directly. A word that is not known or has been forgotten can reduce the overall understanding of the context. The explanations are easily recognizable by a book symbol in front of the term and in a different color. A stroke with the mouse over the word or finger pressure on the expression allows the explanation to be read.

In addition, in each training part, the left function bar provides access to all entries as a summary.

Unlimited access to a valuable reference work

Previously, the training content was only available for a limited period of 60 days. According to feedback the explanations, films, overviews and tables are so valuable that they should be visible even after the training. In this way, they can become an integral part of daily work. Look up of a number, definition or a defect image of a textile on the screen for comparison. This unlimited access is, of course, also available to customers who bought before 1.11.2019.

Even more mobility with app access

The learning platform is now also available as a web app for all «app advocates». The app can be installed on your tablet or smartphone. After you have installed the app on your mobile device, enter ‹biermann-services› under ‹System›. Login› and ‹Password› are the same as for the usual access to the learning platform on the internet. 

The web app is available in the Apple Store and in Google Play.

«Yarn Profiling» now also available as practical curriculum

Almost all customers gave particularly positive feedback on the structure and handling of the curricula. The practical roadmaps in the form of a subway map show exactly which learning steps the student has already completed and what lies ahead. Based on this, Biermann Services has now also developed the topic of «Yarn Profiling» as a curriculum.

20 instead of 10 % for inquisitive learners

In order to be able to offer large customers attractive package prices, the shop now offers a discount of 20% instead of 10% on purchases of CHF 1,000 or more.

Learning always returns, but the initial expenditure must be affordable. For larger companies, it must be possible to integrate an online training concept into the company’s overall philosophy. Access to learning contents should not only be given to a few employees.
